CAMPUR KODE DALAM BAHASA INDONESIA PADA FILM BU TEJO SOWAN JAKARTA: KAJIAN SOSIOLINGUISTIK

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of code-mixing, including words, word repetitions, phrases, expressions or idioms, and clauses in the Indonesian language in the film Bu Tejo Sowan Jakarta. It also aims to describe the factors underlying the occurrence of code-mixing in the Indonesian language in the film. This research is motivated by the prevalence of language issues in films triggered by the linguistic diversity in Indonesia. The method used in this study is the qualitative descriptive method, employing the observation method to collect data, the referential method for data analysis, and the informal data analysis presentation method to present the research findings. The results of the research on code-mixing in Indonesion reveal that it occurs in the form of words, reduplication, phrases, expressions or idioms, and clauses were found in Javanese, Sundanese, and Chinese languages. The factors of role identification, variety identification, and the desire to explain and interpret are the main factors influencing the occurrence of code-mixing in the film Bu Tejo Sowan Jakarta. This emphasizes that the film also reflects social realities encompassing the portrayal of closeness, background, and specific identities of characters that correspond to real-world communities.
